It’s been an exciting few years for Dave but 2024 was especially cool. He teamed up with the great team over at In the Wee hours to edit and sound design three acclaimed award winning short films including the trailers for each. The first was “The Snow Is Always Whiter” which is a film about overcoming the obstacles of an abusive relationship and starred Mongolian super star Bayarmaa Huselbaatar. “The Snow Is Always Whiter” won 23 awards and 1 nomination. The second was a delightful comedy set in Paris, about an odd love story between a nostalgic man and his stubborn imagination called “Dating Audrey.” This film garnered 19 wins and 14 nominations. The last was a mystery crime drama called “Domino Springs” about a place that could be described as the desert meets the Bermuda triangle. This film won a whopping 50 times along with 7 nominations. It also debuted at the Indie Film Fest at the Regal DTLA and on best “Mystery Short” of the year!!

Dave also just finished a job at Oak Leaf Productions where he was the Director of Post Production for about three years. Part of his job was post producing and consulting on a numerous amount of projects that include Broadcast and Social work for Comcast Xfinity, Chick-fil-a, Got Milk?, DoorDash, Hoka, Dr. Pepper, Johnnie-O and a six-part docu-series about Women’s Soccer for AIM Sports called “REBOUND.”

Before that he was a Senior Editor at The Pub LA/Saatchi. Some of his recent work includes the Toyota Global Olympics National TV :30 spot called “Outstretched” that aired during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Making of Chaka Khan’s “I Put A Spell on You” for the Toyota Corolla launch, working on aspects of Toyota’s Global Olympics “Start Your Impossible” campaign, the global brand launch for Asics' "I Move Me" Digital Campaign, the  brand launch for Splendid's #spreadsoftness and seasonal campaigns, Airbnb's "Love This ? Live there" campaign, the Wilson #betterer campaign featuring Roger Federer as well as new spots for Joseph Abboud custom suits and Men’s Wearhouse. 

Previously he spent the past five years as a freelance senior editor at several top ad agencies and companies throughout LA including Chiat, Saatchi, Hawthorne, and Phenomenon.

Dave has been making and editing videos as a passion of his for over twenty-five plus years.  It all started in High School making short legendary movies. Then in 1996, he started on his path to becoming a professional editor by graduating with a BS in Visual Communication from the University of Idaho. Go Vandals!

He then started his professional career at two major LA agencies, Dailey & Associates and Ogilvy & Mather. He spent a good part of his career at these two agencies serving as head editor and head of post production. Both departments were creative, organized, efficient, and profitable. He also worked on numerous projects as a freelance editor including projects for MTV/VH1, TLC,  KB Home, and the LA Kings.

His references are numerous and his reputation is impeccable. Dave is a great collaborator and fun person to work with, just ask his colleagues.
